چکیده
A patient showing antibody-mediated rejection (AMR) with severe vasculitis, and massive proteinuria after kidney transplantation was treated with deoxyspergualine (DSG, Spanidin((R)), Nippon Kayaku). DSG showed marked efficacy for this patient's symptoms. We report on a patient for whom DSG was effective against AMR after renal transplantation.

Heavy Proteinuria as a Manifestation of Acute Allograft Rejection Presenting Early after Kidney Transplantation: A Retrospective, Single- Center Case Series
The differential diagnosis of heavy proteinuria presenting early after kidney transplantation has generally included de novo or recurrent glomerulonephritis (GN), whereas proteinuria is thought to be an unusual presentation of acute allograft rejection. We retrospectively analyzed the characteristics of 7 patients who presented with early (median 9 days post-transplant) heavy proteinuria with o...
متن کاملDual pathology as a cause of proteinuria in the post-transplant period; report of a case
Proteinuria is common after renal transplantation and affects between 35%-45% of patients during the same year as their transplant. We report a case of dual pathology in the renal allograft as a cause of severe proteinuria. A 38-year-old male presented with end-stage renal disease. He underwent live related renal allograft transplant. His immediate post-transplant period was unremarkable. He de...

We report on successful early eculizumab administration to treat acute antibody-mediated rejection (ABMR) in a highly sensitized kidney transplant recipient. The recipient is a 7-year-old boy who received, 6 months after a desensitization protocol with monthly intravenous immunoglobulin infusion, a second kidney transplant in the presence of low donor-specific antibodies (DSAs). Both pretranspl...

Introduction: EBV is categorized as Herpesviridans and by nature is a Lymph crypto Virus. Studies have demonstrated that EBV will infect 80 to 90 percent of patients during the first year and there is a close relation between kidney malfunction and EBV infection. Reactivation of the virus excites the immune system, and ultimately leads to rejection of kidney. The purpose of this study was to de...

Background & Aims: Daclizumab is a monoclonal antibody directed against CD25 subunit of interlukin 2 receptor. Several studies have shown the effectiveness of daclizumab on reduction of acute rejection in renal transplantation with regular or limited dose. The present study assessed the outcomes of 3 and 5 years follow-up of a prospective case-control trial comparing safety and efficacy of indu...
